Cook Composites and Polymers are to increase prices for particular coatings and industrial resins products from August 15 2005, on all orders processed for the North American coatings market.

Specifically affected by this increase are all CCP alkyd, polyester, and acrylic resins. Pricing for these products will increase by $.05 per pound on all orders shipped in the United States and Canada.

According to Dan Kile, Vice President of Polymers for CCP, repeated increases in raw material, energy, packaging, and transportation costs over the past eighteen months are the factors driving the CCP increase.

CCP is headquartered in Missouri and is the second largest producer of coatings resins in the world, as well as the world’s largest and leading producer of polyester gel coats. The company also claims to have the largest distributor network for composites and cast polymers in North America.
