Cook Composites and Polymers (CCP) broke ground on a state-of-the-art technical centre at the end of July.

The expansion, with a target completion of late November, will double the size of the centre to 16,000 square feet. The entire project was designed to provide their customers with the training and tools they need to remain successful.

“The CCP training schools and new tech centre will allow customers the access to knowledge that will help to improve their production processes and product quality,” said Paul Colonna, Vice President of the company’s Composites Division. The centre’s features include both classroom and hands-on training, the latest in applications equipment, stadium seating for up to 60 people and an additional conference room for small group interaction.

Training sessions already conducted this year include such high-interest topics as gel coat series, MACT compliance, tours of the lab, troubleshooting, on-site demonstrations, laminating resins and skin coat resins series, tooling products, casting presentations, regulatory updates and roundtable discussions.

“All these classes, and the rededication to expanding our tech centre, demonstrate that we stand by our pledge to provide the highest level of value-added products and service to customers,” said Colonna.
