The Composites Association of New Zealand (CANZ) is sponsoring a seminar to showcase the capabilities of New Zealand composite fabricators to assist the rebuilding and restoration of the heritage of Christchurch.
The seminar will be held on the 4th November in Christchurch and will include examples of how composites have been used to replace or work in conjunction with traditional construction materials. Case studies and examples of local design and manufacturing capability will also be shown.
CANZ say “The rebuilding of a stronger, more sustainable Christchurch will benefit from the use of lighter and stronger fibre composite materials, especially in retrofitting and strengthening existing buildings and in the heritage replication of facades and other historic items.”
CANZ say the seminar will be targeted at material specifiers such as architects, engineers, developers and builders, as well as local body and Government personnel. They are inviting companies to make a submission demonstrating their capabilities and experience.
