Call for Papers’ Deadline Imminent for UK’s Largest Ever Composites Event

Organisers of this year’s Composites Engineering Show, being held at NEC Birmingham on 12-13 November 2013, have announced the final call for papers for organisations wishing to be considered for a presentation spot within in its two day open conference programme.

Hosted alongside this year’s featured exhibits will be a ‘free to attend’ two-day open conference, in partnership with NetComposites and Composites UK, providing unmissable sector insight into latest materials innovations, process and capability advances plus latest applications. NetComposites will again host an embedded stream of technology sessions covering new materials, new combinations of materials, testing, design and innovation – with 2013 session themes being biocomposites, sustainability and recycling, thermoplastic composites, nanocomposites and non-destructive testing.

Composites UK will take the lead on feature sessions illustrating developing UK technology, process and skills infrastructure supporting the industry’s future expansion, together with coverage of key developments such as the Composites Leadership Forum, designed to deliver the next stage of the UK’s National Composites Strategy. Core application communities will come under the spotlight with planned dedicated feature sessions covering aerospace composites, marine composites, automotive and motorsport composites. The expanding use of composite materials in the construction sector will be additionally covered in a dedicated one hour feature session, led by the Network Group for Composites in Construction; and the EPSRC Centre of Innovative Manufacturing in Composites (CIMComp) will host an extended session showcasing their novel projects.
