Burgmann Packings Composites has announced an expansion in braiding capacity at its plant in Dublin, Ireland.
The company has added a versatile 64 carrier radial braiding machine from Herzog to its robotic braiding cell. This is designed to enhance both its size range and production capacity in Dublin.
The entire cell is fully integrated with the Kuka Quantec robot arm giving the company the ability to provide multi-layer over-braids using multiple machines in one set-up.
The company says this increase in its abilities will result in the availability a larger range of tailored solutions for its project partners. By alternating between machines, materials and optimum braid patterns the company will maximise the value of automated production.
