BÜFA Thermoplastic Composites launches operations
New technologies and processes are creating numerous products and applications that are opening up new markets. An extremely dynamic growth market with high future potential is emerging for thermoplastic composites. This is why the Oldenburg-based chemical company BÜFA founded BÜFA Thermoplastic Composites.
In the composites business field, BÜFA has so far concentrated on the production of thermoset components that can no longer be shaped by heating after curing. This procedure is possible as often as required for thermoplastics in a certain temperature range by cooling and reheating. This also gives the option of welding the plastic, for example. In addition, they are easy to transport, store, and ensure short process times with high reproducibility.
The young company specialises in the sale of raw materials and semi-finished products for the manufacture of components from long and continuous fibre-reinforced thermoplastics. The focus is on materials made from renewable raw materials.
