Brazil: CTI Brasil starts up in Rio

The Brazilian air transportation company Lider Taxi Aereo in a joint venture with the US CTI (Composite Technology Inc.) created CTI Brasil, the only company specialized in helicopters propellers repair of Brazil. Sited in Aeroporto de Jacarepagua (Rio de Janeiro) the company was recently innaugurated and demanded US$800,000 investment. CTI expects a turnover of US$1mil over the first year of operations. Currently the Brazilian helicopters fleet is comprised by 833 units which maintenance cost will drop by 15%. The aircraft maintenance domestic market currently represents R$700mil per year and Lider holds 10% stake in it.
