Bond-Laminates has finalized the establishment of its TEPEX advanced thermoplastic composite development and manufacturing plant in Brilon, Germany.

Bond-Laminates is operating all its TEPEX thermoplastic composites materials activities from Brilon. The expansion comprises an investment in a 400 tons capacity continuous belt pressing facility, facilities to manufacture quasi-isotropic laminates and extensive material testing and prototyping equipment. In addition, all activities in development, manufacturing, marketing and sales of its TEPEX materials have been ISO9001/2000 certified.

TEPEX materials can be formulated from a standard range of raw materials like filament glass, cost efficient roving glass, carbon and aramid fibres, together with thermoplastics like PP, TPU, PA12, PA6, PA66, PA46 and PPS.

Last year at the JEC, Bond-Laminates launched the TEPEX x08 range of thermoplastic composite materials. Today this material is being used in several commercial applications.
