Belzona Polymerics has launched its new compliant composite pipe repair system, Belzona SuperWrap.
Belzona SuperWrap is the first composite repair system from UK based company Belzona Polymerics to have been developed in compliance with international and technical standards ISO/TS 24817 and ASME PCC-2. It also complies with US DOT requirements.
The versatile system provides customers with a downtime saving alternative to welding and the cold-curing ability enables corrosion damaged components to be back online within 24 hours. Belzona say that SuperWrap can be applied in situ to pipes and vessels, even in cases where operating pressures exceed 250bar.
Belzona’s Strategic Manager for the Oil & Gas Industry, David Rice, said: “Having validated engineering design algorithms has moved composite repair into the asset integrity engineers’ approved options for consideration when faced with thinning and or holed pressure systems’ substrates.
“I am proud that we have been able to publically introduce Belzona SuperWrap, Belzona’s first ISO and ASME compliant composite repair system. Our customers already know that Belzona lead the market in terms of producing the highest quality products but the external recognition of this fact only reinforces this belief.
“We are confident that the Belzona reputation for quality, combined with the high level of service which we are renowned for offering, will ensure that Belzona becomes a market leader in the competitive composite wrap market and see a new industry benchmark being set for pipe repairs.”
