The result of a partnership between Aeris Energia and Barracuda Advanced Composites to open a training centre in Fortaleza, Brazil, will help thousands of Aeris employees and apprentices to develop their composite manufacturing skills.
According to barracuda, the capability to design, manufacture and assemble composite materials is vital in the wind energy industry in order optimise weight and design, thereby improving efficiency and performance. Brazilian wind market has a steady growth of 10% per year and both Barracuda and Aeris aim to improve skills, training, efficiency and quality for the wind energy infrastructure in the region.
The new training centre will help Aeris workers to improve their capabilities on the vacuum infusion processing as well as testing and developing new products and material specifications.
