Atlas Composites welcomed Jessica Lee, MP for Erewash, for a site visit to coincide with National Apprentice Week (NAW).
Now in its fifth year, the UK National Apprenticeship Week took place from 6th – 10th February and Atlas say it was the perfect opportunity for their own Apprentice Nathan Gregory, Atlas Composites 15th Apprentice since 1997, to demonstrate his composite engineering skills to Miss Lee.
Commenting on her site visit Miss Lee said “In Erewash we have a proud heritage of industry; I believe that apprenticeships can be a great asset to employers and I would appeal to local businesses to take advantage of the latest government apprenticeship scheme.”
According to Atlas, with over half a million (685,000) apprentices working in England throughout the last academic year the benefits of an Apprenticeship Scheme continue to attract their MD Shaun Moloney. “Apprenticeships are a great way to begin your career and demonstrate our commitment to investing in people to our customers and suppliers. Atlas Composites are delighted to be playing their part in supporting UK manufacturing by developing the next generation of composites engineers”.
