ATK is the first advanced composite company in the aerospace industry to gain accreditation from the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program – Nadcap.
It received accreditation only after a thorough independent review of its composite fabrication and adhesive bonding processes and procedures.
Blake Larson, president, ATK Composites, said the accreditation confirms ATK’s commitment to fabricating only the highest quality composite structures in the industry.
“”The Nadcap accreditation process is rigorous,”” said Larson. “”But the accreditation also reaffirms for our customers that ATK will stop short of nothing to provide the highest quality composite structures available anywhere in the world.””
As one of the world’s leading composite manufacturers, ATK recently joined Nadcap’s accreditation team as a voting member. Nadcap is a worldwide cooperative program of industry prime contractors that governs precise standards used to measure the competency, capability and consistency of suppliers and associated products within the aerospace and automotive industries. Its mission is to provide international, unbiased, independent manufacturing process and product assessments and certification services to add value, reduce costs, and facilitate relationships between primes and suppliers.
