Neulon 480 low-profile additive from Ashland Composite Polymers is now available for European automobile manufacturers using sheet moulding compound (SMC).

Ashland’s Neulon 480 low-profile additive is designed to deliver patented technology for better control of short and long waviness sometimes associated with external auto body parts made from sheet moulding compound (SMC). “Our new technology provides the next step in performance for manufacturers seeking to have even better control over the final Class-A finished body part,” said Sara Frattini, Marketing Manager, Transportation Europe.

“With each new product, including Neulon 480 low-profile additive, Ashland continues to make a conscious effort to formulate with ingredients that may reduce the potential for environmental impact,” said Frattini. Neulon 480 low-profile additive features nearly seven percent bio-based materials.
