Ashland Specialty Chemical Company is increasing by 4 cents per pound (USD) the price of its polyester resins, vinyl ester resins, low-profile additives and gel coats. This price increase will be effective with shipments on and after February 10, 2003.

The increase is due primarily to rapidly escalating costs of raw materials, particularly styrene monomer and glycols. Ashland Specialty Chemical Company’s Composite Polymers business is a leader in supplying products, processes and composite technologies to the global marketplace for reinforced-plastic composites and gel coats.
