Ashland Composite Polymers and Scott Bader have made further resin price increases for European customers.

Ashland Composite Polymers a division of Ashland Inc. is increasing by 150 EURO/T the price of its unsaturated polyester and vinyl ester resins in Europe effective Dec. 1, 2004. This price increase is in addition to previously announced increases over the last months.

Scott Bader will be increasing sales prices for all its range of Crystic polyester resins, gelcoats and Crystic Crestomer bonding products by a further 200 €/t on all deliveries from its European sites from 1 January 2005. This increase is in addition to all previously announced increases, which have taken effect during 2004.

“This increase reflects the relentless increases in our raw material costs, which have accelerated in recent weeks and are certain to continue well into 2005” commented Malcolm Forsyth, European Commercial Manager, Composites business division of Scott Bader.
