A&P Technology is offering a new line of unidirectional carbon fabrics, currently available in 4oz/sq.yd and 9oz/sq.yd weights.

The patent-pending material is a non-woven textile that has a relatively small percentage of binder material (less than 3%). The binder is applied to only one side of the fabric resulting in virtually no crimp in the fibres, making the fabrics efficient and affordable.

Current offerings of the fabric and with standard modulus carbon, whilst fabrics made with intermediate modulus carobon will soon be available. At the moment the intermediate modulus fabric are being characterised for aerospace applications.
