Further to last weeks price rises, AOC, Reichhold and Dow have increased the prices of resins.
AOC will increase prices by $.10 kg on all products sold in Europe, the Middle East and Asia effective May 5, 2004. Further price increases are possible.
The Dow Chemical Company is increasing its prices on all grades of Derakane Epoxy Vinyl Ester Resins by 100 Euro/MT across the European region, Middle East and the Indian subcontinent. The increases are effective for shipments on and after June 1, 2004, for all customers, or as contract terms permit.
Reichhold are to increase prices for unsaturated Polyester Resins in the U.S. & Canada, by $ .04 Per Pound. Effective from June 1st. This increase follows last weeks price rise in the regions of Europe, Middle East and Africa.
“The escalation of our raw material costs continues unabated,” explains Bruce Fawcett, Reichhold senior vice president. “In addition to steep increases for styrene, glycols and other petroleum-based products, we must still contend with rising energy costs, chiefly natural gas, and increased costs in transportation and steel,” Fawcett concluded.
