AOC say they will increase prices by US$0.07/lb in the US and CN$0.155 per kilo in Canada for all vinyl ester and unsaturated polyester resins.

In addition, they explain that prices for gel coats and pigments will increase up to US$0.07/lb in the US and up to CN$0.155 per kilo in Canada. According to AOC, all increases are effective for shipments on and after February 13, 2012, and are due to higher prices for several raw materials. They say that raw material cost increases are driven by rising demand, increased feedstock costs and a stronger export market for petrochemicals produced in US and these conditions are expected to continue throughout the first quarter of 2012.
