United States and Canadian composites industry groups have met to explore areas of common interest, including the need for industry associations to work together.
The American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA) President Monty Felix and Chief Staff Executive Tom Dobbins each addressed members of the Fdration des Plastiques et Alliances Composites (FEPAC) and the Canadian Association of Mold Makers (CAMM) at Forum Canada, their annual event in Quebec City, Quebec.
Members of the Provincial and Canadian governments also participated in the meeting to identify areas of mutual cooperation. As a result, FEPAC will work to bring a delegation of its members to ACMAs Composites 2011 exhibition and convention–the largest composites event in North America.
In addition to welcoming this Canadian delegation to our annual show, ACMA will continue to work with FEPAC and CAMM to explore ways to work together on market development, training, and other areas of mutual interest, said Felix.
We are pleased to welcome our northern neighbours to Ft. Lauderdale for Composites 2011, said Felix. Composites manufacturers and suppliers from Canada will be able to see some of the cutting-edge materials, equipment and processes in the industry. They will also be able to participate in our gold-standard training programs over the three-day event.
Composites 2011 will be held February 2-4 in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
