Amber Composites have launched a new tooling prepreg called HX90N, a low temperature curing nano-modified epoxy system.
Through the use of specially designed nano-modified epoxy resins, Amber says that it improves the surface flatness and finish of tools made from various pattern materials including aluminium or epoxy tooling board, so can reduce preparation time necessary to achieve class A surfaces as well as reduce the amount of primer needed.
According to Amber, tool life is also extended due to less surface pitting, and HX90N is an easy material to use with excellent drapeability, allowing complex shapes to be easily formed.
