The classes of the first postgraduate course in composite materials in São Paulo will begin on July 31st 2014. A result of a partnership between the Latin American Composite Materials Association (ALMACO) and Universidade Positivo, Braxzil, the course of 435 hours will have the same faculty of the courses held in Curitiba, Caxias do Sul and Joinville, Brazil.

The classes will take place at the Composites Technology Center (CETECOM), an organisation led by ALMACO and the Technological Research Institute (IPT).

“Education is one of our main goals, and that is why we expect to have one hundred professionals graduated by 2015,” says Gilmar Lima, President of ALMACO. Over the past four years, ALMACO explains it has promoted more than 200 courses and workshops throughout Latin America – these events were attended by approximately 5,000 people. During this period, ALMACO also edited seven technical books.
