Airtech Advanced Materials Group will show its new Beta Prepreg for composite tooling and TB G48 carbon tooling boards as some of the innovative products and services on show at JEC 2011.
The new Beta Prepreg for composite tooling, which is the JEC 2011 Innovation Award finalist, is based on Henkel Benzoxazine resin and toughening technology. Airtech say that it can be stored at room temperature for up to 6 months with no loss of tack and delivers superior laminate properties compared to conventional epoxy and BMI systems, with high glass transition temperature (218C) and service stability at high temperature.
Also new from Airtech are the TB G48 carbon tooling boards – high temperature carbon fibre tooling boards with a reformulated high Tg. 247C epoxy matrix to provide longer high temperature service life. The TB G48 can be used for mould support, jigs and fixtures, reducing tooling cost and improving performance.
Airtech Europe in Luxembourg also celebrates another milestone: 20 Years in the composite market. Wolfgang Stratmann, General Manager reaffirms the commitment of Airtech Europe in the composite market: “”We honour the past, but we always launch the future!””
