Airtech says Airpad HTX is an uncured non-silicone rubber that can be made into caul sheets and flexible mandrels.

The company explains that Airpad HTX has been formulated to provide enhanced performance in comparison to other rubber caul sheet materials.

Airtech say the benefits of the material are that it bonds aggressively to bondable release film, which results in a longer lasting tooling. Airpad HTX also bonds aggressively to itself, making it easier to repair.

According to Airtech, heat aging studies show the material has longer life in high temperature applications. It also has resistance to solvents for durability, and can be released using standard release agents.

This should be tested by the customer using their release agents and prepreg before using Airpad HTX in any particular application.
