AERT Record August Sales Top $3 Million, Set All-Time High

Advanced Environmental Recycling Technologies Inc. (AERT), a leader in wood composite technology, announced that the unaudited sales for August reached $3.07 million and set an all-time record. This record surpasses the previous record of $2.7 million reported in June 2000. August sales of $3.07 million also compares with $2.06 million for August 1999, an increase of 49% over the prior period. “Our AERT associates at both facilities worked hard and accomplished operation improvements that contributed to the record,” stated AERT Chairman, Joe G. Brooks. “In particular, the Texas facility increased sales to $1.4 million for the month.” “With initial construction phases winding down, AERT is focused on further increasing production, improving efficiencies and margins and generating respectable profits for our shareholders,” stated Brooks. Advanced Environmental Recycling Technologies Inc. manufactures a growing line of composite building materials made from recycled polyethylene plastic and waste wood fiber. The Company’s products are marketed under the trade names MoistureShield(R) and ChoiceDek(R) for the North American homebuilding market. AERT currently operates a composite manufacturing facility in Texas and a plastic recycling facility and composite manufacturing facility in Arkansas
