Advanced Environmental Recycling Technologies Inc., a leader in wood composite technology, announced that the unaudited sales for the month ending July 31, 2000, were $2.48 million compared to sales of $1.9 million for July of 1999, an increase of 31% over the prior period. “July sales were on a level with the May and June sales due to the plant shut down for the 4th of July holiday period,” stated AERT Chairman, Joe G. Brooks. “With additional production improvements now coming on-line and the Springdale plant continuing to improve efficiencies the Company is currently on track to set another production record in August, as sales for the last 3 weeks have averaged in excess of $700,000 per week,” stated Brooks. “We are working to continue to improve and increase our composite business and our cash flows and profits from operations.” Advanced Environmental Recycling Technologies Inc. manufactures a growing line of composite building materials made from recycled polyethylene plastic and waste wood fiber. The Company’s products are marketed under the trade names MoistureShield(R) and ChoiceDek(R) for the North American homebuilding market. AERT currently operates a composite manufacturing facility in Texas and a plastic recycling facility and composite manufacturing facility in Arkansas.
