Keighley/Yorkshire based Aerovac Systems Ltd have introduced SM5170 – the latest addition to their family of sealant tapes.

Developed by Schnee Morehead Inc and exclusively distributed in Europe by Aerovac, SM5170 is a premium tape suitable for a wide range of applications and across a wide range of temperatures. The tape operates up to 232°c, strips cleanly when warm or cold, is easy to apply and, like all Aerovac sealant tapes, forms a vacuum tight seal that adheres excellently to nylon films and tool surfaces.

Its characteristics make it ideal for use in the aerospace industry, but SM5170 will also suit many other applications. The tape is light beige before cure turning a mustard colour when curing is completed.
