Due to the constantly increasing use of polymers and composite materials, the DMA+300 has been added to the Acoem’s METRAVIB range.

According to Acoem, polymers and composites offer lightness combined with flexibility and resistance offer significant advantages in the fields of transportation, industry, sports and construction. It says these properties are central to the concerns of engineers and researchers, who must have access to high-performance instruments in order to characterise these materials in different conditions and environments. The DMA+300, the latest addition to the METRAVIB range, is a new dynamic mechanical analysis system that it says offers exceptional analysis capabilities. The DMA+300 enables the characterisation of materials presenting great variation in mechanical properties based on temperature.

With its 300-Newton air-bearing shaker, Acoem claims the DMA+300 offers unrivalled capabilities for the accurate analysis of fibres and polymer films, as well as monitoring the polymerisation of thermosetting polymers. It can also be equipped with MULTITEST fatigue software making it a versatile research tool that is particularly well suited to the analysis of the mechanical properties of reinforced polymer materials.
