The American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA) is calling composites manufacturers to submit innovative, unique, and specialty products for the 2007 Awards for Composites Excellence (ACE) Product Showcase and Competition.
The awards will be held during Composites & Polycon 2007, October 17-19, 2007 at the Tampa Convention Center, Tampa, Florida. This competition aims to distinguish design and manufacturing capabilities to the global composites industry.
The ACE competition recognizes technology achievement and excellence in composites manufacturing in all market applications. A panel of distinguished composites industry experts will judge the competition. Awards are presented to companies whose products are judged to have significant market impact and presence while exemplifying the use of composites and making the entry superior in design and engineering. Award categories include: Infinite Possibility; Superior Quality in an Open Molded Part; Process Innovation; Most Creative Application; and Technical Innovation for Corrosion Applications. Top industry awards are the Best of Show and People’s Choice.
Only manufacturers of finished composites products are eligible to enter the ACE Competition. There is no fee and no limit to the number of products submitted by a single company. Both ACMA members and non-members are welcome to submit an entry. The actual product must be present at the competition for viewing and judging. ACE winners will be awarded at Composites & Polycon 2007 and featured on the ACMA website and in press releases directed to industry press and end user publications.
