Abaris Training has completed its first class in its newest training centre in Brasilia, Brazil.

Abaris explain the Phase I class offered both classroom and intensive hands-on instruction on fabrication and repair of advanced composites. The facility (established in cooperation with Heatcon and L&M Enghenharia) joins the Abaris professional training centres in Reno, Nevada, and Griffin, Georgia and the Heatcon-Abaris centre in Bicester, UK for a total of four training centres designed and equipped to provide world-class hands-on training.

“We are extremely pleased with the response to the class,” said Jay Carpenter, Abaris Trainer. “Over the course of five days we trained 10 people working in a multilingual environment involving three languages.”

The response to the class was so enthusiastic that Abaris will be adding a Phase II class in November to its training schedule in Brazil. Phase II will build on the foundation laid in Phase I, concentrating on damage repair and hot bond technology.

According to Abaris President Mike Hoke, “Establishing this training centre is a direct response to the rapid growth we have seen in the Brazilian composites industry. It is imperative that workers quickly develop sophisticated hands-on skills to meet the demands of the aerospace, automotive and wind power industries. Abaris is uniquely positioned to impart those skills in an effective, engaging way.”
