Ashland Composite Polymers will commence a year-long celebration of the 50th anniversary of its Hetron corrosion and fire retardant resins at JEC.

Hetron is among the oldest brands in the corrosion industry and has proven its effectiveness by replacing metals and alloys since commercialization in 1953. “Ashland customers value the multi-faceted solutions and technical data available through our company,” said Ike Shank, a 38-year corrosion industry veteran and specialty resin business unit director, Ashland Composite Polymers. ”Engineers, designers and architects value cost effective, time-tested solutions that deliver results in even the harshest chemical and structural environments.”

Hetron resins were first used for harsh chlor-alkali environments and quickly gained acceptance and proven performance in pulp and paper bleaching applications. Today, Hetron resins maintain system-critical and environmentally friendly corrosion resistant and fire retardant properties in many applications and industries including power generation, chemical processing, mining and mineral processing, semiconductor, municipal water treatment, as well as construction and infrastructure.
