3A Demonstrate New AIREX PET Technology SealPerf and BALTEK Banova Core Material at JEC Europe

3A Composites Core Materials will demonstrate its latest innovations: the SealPerf technology for AIREX PET products and its new BALTEK Banova at JEC Europe, Porte de Versailles, Paris, France, next week.

According to 3A, both AIREX T90 and T92 will be available with SealPerf technology consisting of thermally sealed holes arranged in a regular square pattern. It says excellent resin flow is guaranteed by the smooth hole surface and the assurance that holes cannot be blocked by any saw dust. Contrary to drilled holes this new and very cost efficient technology can be applied to all sheet thicknesses without limitations.

Furthermore, 3A explains that with its new BALTEK Banova it sets a milestone for new Balsa based materials. It says, the newly developed balsa production technology is veneer-based and allows Banova products to be used both as core materials and as stand-alone panels. While product homogeneity and possible customised fibre orientation are the key USPs for the Banova core materials, the extreme lightweight are the drivers behind Banova stand-alone panels where is offers weight reductions of 50-70% compared to conventional plywood solutions.

3A stresses its dedication to the ‘total cost of ownership’ for the benefit of its partners along the supply chain. “Last year we started several projects with the target to deliver better and more cost effective products to the market and have increased our customer focus significantly”. Roman Thomassin CEO of 3A Composites Core Materials states and adds “nonetheless we still have lots of opportunities to further advance and we strive for improvements on a daily basis. With our new products (Banova) and new processes (e.g. SealX) we were able to open new markets and support the existing ones with better products and services.” Roman Thomassin emphasises “the strength of our company lies within our dedicated workforce and we have started a firework of exiting new products and projects that will help all our customers to improve and differentiate.”
