DuPont Transportation & Advanced Polymers (T&AP) will demonstrate lightweighting and alternative drivetrain technologies that are essential to achieving sustainable mobility goals during the Plastics in Automotive Engineering (PIAE) show taking place on 3-4 April 2019 in Mannheim, Germany.
The automotive industry is working continuously on innovative light-weight solutions combined with parts and functions integration to help reduce fuel consumption and carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.
Exhibiting at Stand 19, DuPont T&AP will feature advanced polymers and structural adhesives that deliver ease of assembly, long-term durability and strong, lightweight, electrically-friendly solutions for HEV and EV applications.
Experts from DuPont will host an interactive workshop during PIAE to spotlight material developments and design optimisation of thermoplastic structural parts to speed prototyping and improve the performance of finished parts.
Mattia Sulmoni, Senior Design Consultant and Luis Canal Casado, R&D Materials Engineer, both of DuPont T&AP to present ‘Lightweight solutions for automotive structural parts in highly-reinforced thermoplastics and plastic/metal hybrid systems’ on 3 April at 14:30-15:30 in seminar room 3.9 (Level 2).
DuPont T&AP offers a complete package system for automotive structural parts combining engineering plastics, plastic metal hybrid solutions, rubber to substrate bonding agents, adhesives, and brings strong expertise in designing components and processing support.
Continental Structural Plastics (CSP), along with its parent company Teijin, were honoured by General Motors with the automakers Innovation Award at its 27th Annual Supplier of the Year awards ceremony held in Warren, Michigan, US.
Carboman Group (Carboman) announces that it is collaborating with Eviation Aircraft, on Eviation’s ‘Alice’ - an all-electric aircraft structure that will debut at the 53rd Paris Air Show in Le Bourget.
Launched in 2017, JEC Startup Booster is the leading and unique start-up competition in the world of composites in which hundreds of start-ups participate to pitch their breakthrough innovations in front of a jury of experts from international groups and companies involved in the making of innovative materials.
