At JEC World 2019 partners Von Roll, Airborne and ViscoTec show the integrated automated solution to fill honeycomb cores with Von Roll’s potting compound. The partners show LIVE at the Von Roll stand, how this smart and fully automated integral solution offers the composite manufacturing industry a lower weight of the end-product and a drastic reduction of labour, material consumption and non-conformities.
Through partnering at JEC World 2019 the three companies provide a profound insight in the overall automated honeycomb potting solution to the global composites community. Showing the automated solution live at Von Roll’s booth offers all visitors a first peek in the opportunities at hand.
Making it real with a live demonstration
This year, Von Roll as producer of composites and electrical insulation systems joins forces with Airborne, frontrunner in the digital solutions for composites manufacturing, and ViscoTec, supplier of dosing pumps and dosing systems for medium- to high-viscosity fluids. The complementarity of all competencies is demonstrated for the first time through the automated honeycomb manufacturing solution. Every 20 minutes visitors can join a live demonstration.
Arno van Mourik, CEO of Airborne, says, “Our aim is to provide our customers with significant cost reduction through higher accuracy and repeatability of potting, drastically reducing material waste and reducing manual labour and non-conformities. Therefore, we are working on several automated and digital solutions. Together with Von Roll and ViscoTec we are proud to make it real at JEC World 2019.”
“We are thrilled to introduce a completely new generation of core fillers that is superior to existing solutions in every dimension. The new formulation offers excellent processability, virtually unlimited shelf life, requires no cooling, and is completely anhydride- and halogen-free,” says Dr. Christian Hennerkes, CEO of Von Roll.
“Due to a close collaboration of Airborne, Von Roll and ViscoTec we are able to provide a fully automated solution to customers, that desire a significant increase in productivity and output,” says Franz Kamhuber, Head of Business Development Aerospace at ViscoTec.
