NetComposites Announces Call for Papers for CompIC 2019

NetComposites is inviting abstracts from potential speakers for its CompIC (Composites in Construction) conference taking place on 30-31 January 2019 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

The European CompIC edition is now in its third cycle and will explore and explain the success stories, advantages and obstacles of using FRP composites in construction applications.

Abstracts of 250 words are now being sought from potential speakers on subjects to include, but not limited to:

  • Materials and Design;
  • Reinforcement and Strengthening;
  • Biocomposites in Construction;
  • Manufacturing;
  • Testing;
  • Standards;
  • Case Studies;
  • Opportunities for New Applications.

The deadline is 7 September 2018 and accepted abstracts will qualify for a special speaker rate of £250.

CompIC attracts a global audience of professional end-users, architects, asset owners, composite manufacturers, material suppliers, consultancies and designers. The breadth of knowledge of visitors will further add to the event’s unique meeting of minds. The event also offers sponsorship and exhibition opportunities, allowing organisations to showcase new innovative solutions to a large number of industry decision makers both at the event and online.

“We’re delighted to be announcing the Call for Papers for CompIC 2019," says Siobhan Longhurst, Communications Manager at NetComposites. "Previous CompIC conferences have been a great success, covering innovative topics and benefitting from debate from the floor. We expect the 2019 edition to continue this and highlight the latest developments in fibre reinforced composite construction materials.”
