Pai Cristal Italia has appointed GRP Solutions as its new industrial distributor for the UK. The agreement includes PaiBoat polishing formulations for the composite industry.
With this agreement, PaiBoat is said to strengthen its position in the UK composites market, improving service to existing customers and offering its solutions to new businesses.
“We have a lot of experience in composites and the high quality finish of mouldings is an increasing part of what our customers are looking for, also providing solutions and selling a range of resins, catalysts, processing and release agents, as well as cores and fabric reinforcements," says Dave Bancroft, Sales Director for GRP Solutions Ltd. "Everyone in the GRP Solutions team is very excited to now be working with PaiBoat compounds, which provides customers with innovative, added value moulding solutions."
To handle increasing sales and order levels from new and existing customers, GRP Solutions recently relocated to a new 20,000 ft2 warehouse and head office facility in Havant.
The Metyx Hungary factory, located in Kaposvár, has recently expanded its warehousing facilities, adding an additional 3,024 m2 of enclosed storage space for composite technical fabrics, packaging and FRP tooling.
The American Composites Manufacturers Association participated in a roundtable discussion about the IMAGINE Act. Known as the Innovative Materials in American Growth and Infrastructure, Newly Expanded (IMAGINE) Act, the new bill is designed to promote the increased use of innovative materials like fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) composites, as well as new manufacturing methods to accelerate the deployment and extend the life of infrastructure projects.
