SHD Composite Materials has set up SHD Holdings Ltd to enable the formation of a group of companies to service high volume and specific market sectors whilst maintaining the same service, ethos and values.
SHD Holdings explains that the first of these compaies is SHD-MTI. It explains that the potential and scope for PFA as a viable FST proven (and bio-based) alternative to phenolic is becoming widely acknowledged. After considerable investment and research into this product, SHD says it has formed SHD-MTI. SHD explains that its mass transit interiors company has been created to service the high volume aerospace and rail interiors markets with PFA based resin systems. It claims that this will be led by highly experienced aerospace and rail professionals working alongside its current composites team.
