Gurit has announced that it has renewed its distribution agreement with Maricell, an Italian producer of closed-cell PVC structural foam.
Under the terms of the agreement, Gurit will continue to distribute all Maricell PVC globally until 31 December 2020, with further extension options.
Under this arrangement Gurit reports that it benefits from a guaranteed volume of high-quality PVC, while Maricell can rely on a sales volume which Gurit has committed to distribute through its global network.
Gurit will continue to produce and distribute its existing core materials range Corecell, PVC, Balsaflex and Kerdyn PET globally.
The Metyx Hungary factory, located in Kaposvár, has recently expanded its warehousing facilities, adding an additional 3,024 m2 of enclosed storage space for composite technical fabrics, packaging and FRP tooling.
The American Composites Manufacturers Association participated in a roundtable discussion about the IMAGINE Act. Known as the Innovative Materials in American Growth and Infrastructure, Newly Expanded (IMAGINE) Act, the new bill is designed to promote the increased use of innovative materials like fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) composites, as well as new manufacturing methods to accelerate the deployment and extend the life of infrastructure projects.
