The American Composites Manufacturers Association’s (ACMA) CompositesLab website has won two AVA Digital Awards from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP).
ACMA won a platinum award in the Informational Website category and a gold award in the Creative Website category. CompositesLab has now won a total of four awards, having received two Platinum MarCom Awards from AMCP in November 2015.
The AVA Digital Awards is an international competition that recognises excellence by creative professionals responsible for the planning, concept, direction, design and production of digital communication. Winners range from individuals to large media conglomerates and Fortune 500 companies. This year, AVA Digital Awards received roughly 2,500 entries from the United States, Canada, and 17 other countries. Only 11 websites won in the Informational Website category, including entries from Deloitte and Lockheed Martin.
ACMA explains that at CompositesLab, users can learn the basics behind the science of composites, get an overview of the composites industry and read case studies on how composites have been applied to various market segments. The site also outlines the benefits of composites and how they compare to other materials. CompositesLab serves the needs of everyone in the composites industry. Manufacturers and suppliers can use the site to explain the benefits of their products and train staff, while composites educators can use CompositesLab in their curricula to teach the next generation of industry professionals.
“As the voice of the composites industry, our goal is to educate others about composites and their many benefits and uses,” said ACMA President Tom Dobbins. “CompositesLab provides a comprehensive overview about everything you need to know about composites, and does so in a way that’s user-friendly and easy to understand.”
