Chemicals distributor, Redelease, Brazil was elected the Composites Industry Top of Mind in the categories ‘Distributor’ and ‘Mould Release Agent’.
The award ceremony took place on 8 December 2016 at Espaço Transatlântio, in São Paulo, Brazil.
It is the fourth time that the company has won the title in the industry of composites, and the fifth time it has been voted as the leading supplier of mould release agents in the country.
Organised by the Latin American Composite Materials Association (ALMACO), the Top of Mind is the most important award in the industry. In addition to winning in the categories ‘Distributor’ and ‘Mould Release Agent’, the company ranked second in ‘Composites Industry’ and third in the categories ‘Vinyl Ester Resin’, ‘Carbon Fibre’, ‘Peroxides’ and ‘Additives’.
The Metyx Hungary factory, located in Kaposvár, has recently expanded its warehousing facilities, adding an additional 3,024 m2 of enclosed storage space for composite technical fabrics, packaging and FRP tooling.
The American Composites Manufacturers Association participated in a roundtable discussion about the IMAGINE Act. Known as the Innovative Materials in American Growth and Infrastructure, Newly Expanded (IMAGINE) Act, the new bill is designed to promote the increased use of innovative materials like fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) composites, as well as new manufacturing methods to accelerate the deployment and extend the life of infrastructure projects.
