Evonik Jayhawk and Dixie Chemicals Form Collaboration to Develop New Epoxy Thermal Curatives

15 September 2015

Evonik Jayhawk Fine Chemicals Corporation and Dixie Chemical Company have entered into a joint development agreement in support of the global epoxy market sector.

Evonik explains that it will collaborate with Dixie on thermal curatives that combine the best attributes of Evonik's Jayhawk dianhydride and Dixie's monoanhydride competencies. A portfolio of products will be available from Dixie in early 2016.

Borys Schafran, Director, Marketing & Business Development, commented, "We respect Dixie’s expertise in epoxy formulating and applied technology. These new products will not only address ease-of-use, which customers have been asking for, but will also improve the properties of epoxy coatings, moulding compounds and composite materials. This is especially important in applications where sustained mechanical, thermal and dielectric properties in adverse conditions over longer periods of time is a must-have requirement."

Evonik will be exhibiting in Hall 3, Stand E03.
