Vectorply is excited to announce the release of VectorLam Cirrus 2.0 at the Composites and Advanced Materials Expo (CAMX) on 26-29 October 2015 at the Dallas Convention Center in Dallas, Texas, US.
VectorLam Cirrus 2.0 is the first cloud-based edition of Vectorply’s proprietary laminate analysis software program. Vectorply explains that VectorLam Cirrus 2.0 delivers a multi-platform compatible approach to classical laminate theory and provides a suite of services across diversified market segments. This new program allows users to build and access laminates on nearly any internet connected device.
VectorLam Cirrus 2.0 is described as allowing users to achieve goals of stiffness, strength, weight and cost by designing the ideal laminate for their application. Whether it is comparing materials, resin, or even manufacturing processes, VectorLam Cirrus 2.0 offers the best solution and reports it in clear, concise language.
The accessibility of VectorLam Cirrus 2.0 makes the innovative program available to users anywhere there is an internet connection. Whether in the office or out in the field, custom laminate schedules and material properties are just one touch away on any mobile device. A nearly unlimited amount of laminates per project and the ability to manipulate key properties means that this program is not only more portable, but also more powerful.
“VectorLam Cirrus 2.0 is a huge leap forward in terms of laminate design accessibility, management, and user friendliness compared our previously available program,” said Vectorply Director of Composites Engineering, Trevor Gundberg. “Users will be able to access laminate property, cost, and performance data from anywhere they can log on to the web. Basic laminate design is now much more efficient as well as more accessible.”
Development of the original VectorLam software began in 1995. Four years ago, the company released the current version, VectorLam Cirrus, at the Composites 2011 show in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The release of VectorLam Cirrus 2.0 at CAMX marks the first time that the program will be completely cloud-based. Users will no longer be required to download the Microsoft Excel-based program, they will only need to register, log in, and start creating.
As always, the VectorLam Cirrus 2.0 program is free to all users and will be accessible through Vectorply’s website. Cirrus 2.0 will be on display at CAMX, so stop by and see how this powerful tool can help you achieve all of your goals.
Vectorply will be exhibiting at Stand T112.
