JEC Group will hold its 4th annual JEC Americas Composites Show and Conferences in Houston, US, June 2-4, 2015.
JEC Group explains that the main international event focusing on Innovation and Opportunities for the Composites Materials Industry will attract exhibitors and attendees from all over the world and across the complete value chain of the Composites Industry. For the second time, JEC Americas will co-locate with Techtextil North America as the powerful synergies that started their partnership in 2014 were mutually beneficial to both the Composites and the Technical Textile attendees.

Ron Garan, a decorated former NASA Astronaut, Social Entrepreneur & Motivational Speaker has accepted to be JEC Americas special guest keynote speaker and will address the crowd about Innovation.
Over 30 top-level speakers from around the world will share their developments and thoughts during 5 conferences organised during JEC Americas. The topics discussed will be:
- Composites in Pipes & Tanks
- Cost reduction challenges in the carbon fibre industry (in Partnership with TUM)
- Aeronautics: Mechanical architectures
- Improving fuel efficiency in the automotive industry
- Natural Fibres (in partnership with Composites Innovation Centre)
JEC Americas will also be the stage of the famous JEC Innovation Awards (winners to be announced).
The gathering of selected key Top Leaders in Composites, specifically in the Oil & Gas Industry, will be organised during JEC Americas. JEC Group says that the Leadership circle is a unique networking event for the international Oil & Gas Composites community. Pierluigi Tozzi, expert in polymeric matrix composite materials and additive manufacturing technologies from GE Oil & Gas will give the Keynote speech for this session.

The Aachen Center for Integrative Lightweight Production (AZL) and the Institute of Plastics Processing (IKV) at RWTH Aachen University are commencing a study into the use of thermoplastic tapes in injection moulded parts. Companies interested in joining the study are invited to a kick-off event during Fakuma 2018 in Friedrichshafen, Germany, on 18 October.
ZSK will hold its bi-annual technology showcase on 21-22 September 2018 at its Krefeld, Germany, headquarters. The Embroidery Technology Show assembles more than 25 exhibitors from around the world to discuss emerging trends in the embroidery manufacturing industry and demonstrate the latest products produced using techniques such as tailored fibre placement (TFP) or smart textiles.
SGL Carbon and Fraunhofer IGCV have officially opened the Fibre Placement Centre (FPC) at SGL's site in Meitingen, Germany. Compositence, BA Composites and the Chair for Carbon Composites at the Technical University of Munich have also joined the alliance, and Coriolis Group and Cevotec are planning to come on board as partners.
