NORCO GRP Bring Heat Infusion Technology to Composites Engineering Show

NORCO GRP will be displaying its heat infusion technology at the Composites Engineering Show Birmingham NEC, UK.

The Poole, UK-based company states it has worked in conjunction with LaminaHeat to bring to market the possibility of repeatable and efficient composite processing without the use of an oven or autoclave. 

According to NORCO GRP the technology works by using fine conductive non-metallic fibres that convert electricity into heat with maximum efficiency. The fibres are integrated into the mould laminate during construction and are able to heat the mould surface efficiently by putting the heat exactly where it is required. The technology is an extremely simple but ultimately very efficient processing method for large structures. This compliments the complete tooling solution that Norco provides, from CNC Direct tooling for prototyping to high temperature tooling for prepreg processing, all of which can be supported with silicone bags for rapid processing & waste reduction.
