Solvay Engineering Plastics and e-Xstream Engineering have formed a partnership to open source MMI Technyl Design for automotive OEMs.
Developing and supporting MMI Technyl Design, e-Xstream explains the advanced material modelling platform allies an extremely comprehensive encrypted database exceeding 7,600 files which it says allows for a wide range of calculations when integrated with the injection moulding process modelling.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) selected a lightweight FiberSPAN fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) bridge deck, manufactured by Composite Advantage, for the Rugg Bridge on Route 57.
The Lightweight Technologies Forum will take place in parallel to Composites Europe, on 6-8 November 2018 in Stuttgart, Germany.
Tecniplas will exhibit FRP tanks suitable for contact with drinking water at the Fispal Tecnologia food and drink trade fair in São Paulo, Brazil, on 26-28 June.
