JEC Move Halls to Accommodate its Largest European Show Yet

JEC Europe Composites Show and Conferences 2014 will take place on 11 – 13 March 2014 at Porte de Versailles, Paris, France in halls 7.2 and 7.3.

The aim of the event is to inform composite professionals about major events, economic, technical and technological developments, new products and applications in the composites industry.

The event attracts a multitude of delegates from a cross sector of backgrounds including raw material producers, processors, distributors, machine and software manufacturers, institutions, academics, researchers and users, from aeronautics, automotive, marine, land transportation, construction, energy, sports and leisure, and more.

The Netherlands has been named as the show’s ‘Country of Honour’ for 2014. JEC say the country was chosen as combined with the Dutch aerospace industry and its strategically located cluster with over 100 companies, the Dutch high-tech systems and materials sector bolsters innovations in the areas of high-tech equipment, components and materials.

JEC has also announced its Innovative Composites Summit (ICS) conference programme, which it says provides a comprehensive approach to technical information about new advances in composite markets. The ICS programme has been invested in for the past ten years across JEC’s worldwide exhibitions to provide business intelligence and high-added-value economic, technical and legal content, helping the community gain access to a wealth of learning resources thanks to the exchange of experience and first-hand information.

Frédérique Mutel, JEC Group President & CEO said, “From now on, each JEC I.C.S. conferences programme includes a new strategic service tailored to composites Industry and End-User leaders. This service allows them to go beyond Information and Networking that is the cornerstone of our offering. They will be given the opportunity to update their knowledge on the current trends and explore new tracks with their counterparts. In JEC conferences and Leadership Circles, decision-makers have now the opportunity to benefit from a global approach on markets challenges and thus position their actions for the years to come.”

These conferences and forums will gather 42 speakers from 13 different countries, and from international companies such as PSA Peugeot Citroën, Chomarat, Lamborghini, Dassault Systems, Stanford University, Ecole Polytechnique de Montréal, Johns Manville and more.

The exhibition will also be complimented by six end-user industry forums on the following topics.

  • Simulation and design;
  • Mass production and robotisation;
  • Innovative composite automotive application;
  • Aeronautics: Efficient lightweight structural parts;
  • High performance thermoplastics; and
  • Market and technology for carbon producers.
