AOC Announces Price Increase for Mexico

04 February 2014

AOC will be implementing a price increase of US$0.04/lb for all polyester resin, gel coat and pigment products sold in Mexico that is being shipped on or after 24 February 2014.

Additionally, there will be a price increase of US$0.06/lb for all vinyl ester products sold in the country on or after this date.

The company says that this action is due to recent increases in its raw material costs, which are being driven by the surge in petrochemical feedstocks, specifically aromatics and olefins such as benzene, propylene and ethylene. In addition, recent energy increases have further impacted costs to produce petrochemicals and resins.
