Interplastic Announce Price Increase for CoREZYN and Silmar Products

17 September 2013

The Company says the increase will take effect on all shipments on or after October 5, 2013. Steve Wetzel, National Sales Manager, and Daryl Francis, Business Manager West, announced today that Interplastic is raising the price of CoREZYN and Silmar brand polyester and vinyl ester resins, gel coats, colorants and putties $0.06 per pound. Recent increases in key feedstocks such as benzene, propylene, butane, and xylenes have raised the cost of most polyester resin components. Glycols and acids, along with styrene and other additives have all increased. In addition, energy prices have risen and look to continue this trend in the near term.
