SAMPE Announces Creation of New Global, North American Boards of Directors

The Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering’s (SAMPE) International Board of Directors has created a new SAMPE Global Board of Directors and a new SAMPE North American Board of Directors.

The SAMPE Global Board of Directors will be led by Bruno Beral (3M, France) as President, Sakuya Iwai (Tokyo Technologies, Japan) as Immediate Past President, Dr. Anthony Vizzini, (Western Michigan University, USA) as incoming President and Gregg Balko (SAMPE, USA) as Secretary. They will be joined on the Global Board by SAMPE's Regional Presidents including Paolo Ermanni (ETH Zurich, Switzerland and SAMPE Europe President), Dr. Takashi Ishikawa (Nagoya University, Japan and President of SAMPE Japan) and Paul Wienhold (John Hopkins Applied Physics Lab, USA) and President of SAMPE North America.

SAMPE Past Presidents and the three SAMPE regions have elected additional representations to the SAMPE Global Board.

The Global Board is charged with overseeing all of SAMPE's global activities including identifying new growth opportunities. The SAMPE Global Board of Directors assumes their duties on 1 July 2013.
