Teledyne CML has received Nadcap composite manufacturing accreditation AC7118 PAR Rev C at its Bromborough, Wirral, UK facility.
CML says the composites facility, which was officially opened in October 2011 by HRH the Duke of York, has received the approval for processes, including prepreg layup, numerical control (NC) ply cutting, autoclave curing, NC machining, trimming and drilling.
“We are pleased to have received accreditation and are committed to producing the highest quality composite parts for all of our customers,” said Geoff Stewart, Managing Director of CML. “Nadcap accreditation underlines that commitment and provides CML with a highly recognisable discriminator in the aerospace manufacturing industry.”
CML received the AC7118 PAR Rev C accreditation after passing a Nadcap audit. CML says the Nadcap accreditation, along with its AS9100 Rev C accreditation, underlines its commitment to the highest-quality standards and positions the company to capitalise on the growth in use of composites, particularly within the aerospace industry, within which it primarily operates.

Thai Flight Training (TFT), a subsidiary of Thai Airways, recently ordered an Airbus A320 door trainer from Spatial Composite Solutions.
NTPT is collaborating with the Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne - Swiss Centre of Technology (EPFL) and other partners to research discontinuous fibre composite tubes for high performance applications.
Gulf Aviation Academy (GAA) recently ordered a Boeing 787 door trainer from Spatial Composite Solutions, complete with Spatial’s virtual slide trainer.
