PRF to Open New Kitting and Preforming Facility

30 October 2012

PRF Composite Materials has purchased a new factory, extending their premises and processing capabilities, which will be handed over in late November 2012 and is expected to be operational by January 2013.

The facility will be built to PRF’s specification and will be fitted with clean rooms for the cutting of prepreg materials to commercial and military aircraft standard. This facility will be developed into a purpose-built kit cutting and preforming centre.

From January 2013 onwards, significant investment will be made into new machines and equipment to expand the company’s processing capabilities further. PRF says it will continue to run operations from the main office and rapid-response warehouse; with the new site a short distance away.

PRF’s Managing Director, Robert Burnell, comments: “These significant investments demonstrate our commitment to growing our business and developing our capabilities to service the advanced composites industry.”
